Chapter Red.
This video attempts to translate transient emotions into concrete images, depicting the nervousness I felt before a track and field race in primary school by several visual symbols like the colour red, the bedsheet and the picture frame.
Hello, How Are You?
This is the story of a security aunty, a familiar face students see in the premises of National Institute of Education (NIE). But who really is aunty, and what does she do? My team and I interviewed her to get a glimpse of what is it like to be a security guard in NIE, and what her memories with the students. This video hopes to raise awareness of the many unseen heroes in our daily lives, and encourage viewers to show appreciation to them.
It Is What It Is?
This experimental video poses the questions: How does language complicate the thinking process? Is it possible to represent this complexity via film? Through audience participation, I was able to investigate the portability of meaning in language, using subtitles as interior monologue.
