It Is What It Is?

This experimental video poses the questions: How does language complicate the thinking process? Is it possible to represent this complexity via film? Through audience participation, I was able to investigate the portability of meaning in language, using subtitles as interior monologue.

Task: As a departure from narrative structured videos that you have done, this last task encourages a more ‘Fine Art’ / Experimental approach to video making. It is intended for you to now treat the medium like an Art medium and generate a piece of work that is artistic in nature whilst utilizing the tools of videography.

Objective: To understand non-narrative, non-linear video structures
